Basic description
SM system, technically called spiral stabilization of the spine, was developed by Dr. Smíšek and is used mainly in the Czech Republic and Germany.
SM system is a complex exercise that compensates for musculoskeletal problems, lengthens shortened muscles, strengthens weakened muscles and adjusts posture. Stabilizes muscles throughout the body during adjustment in a position with optimally coordinated movement. In this way a dynamic stabilizing muscle corset is formed.
SM system serves as a prevention against the development of muscle imbalances and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It is suitable for athletes. Thanks to the rapid onset of stabilizing muscle activity, athletes have a better balance, prevent musclular imbalances, and protect joints and joint capsules from chronic overload.
